Hiring Terms & Conditions

  1. The Hirer shall not be under the age of 25.

  2. Deposits are refundable until 30 days before booking date.

  3. Unfortunately, we do not accept bookings for 18th / 19th or 20th birthday parties from non members.

  4. The Hirer shall be responsible for the conduct of all guests at the function.

  5. The Hirer shall be responsible for seeing their guests from Cove Cricket Club at the end of the function.

  6. The Hirer must ensure that all fire exits remain clear throughout the duration of the function.

  7. The Hirer should ensure any materials linked to the function (balloons, presents) are removed at the end of the function.

  8. The Hirer will be charged for the repair/replacement of any property situated at Cove Cricket Club caused by malicious damage or negligence.

  9. The Hirer shall ensure no dry ice or other artificial smoke or pyrotechnics are used in the venue at anytime.

  10. All functions shall end no later than 00:00 with premises being vacated by 00:30.

  11. Music must cease by 23:30 and the Bar will close no later than 00:00

  12. The consumption of intoxicating liquor/soft drinks not purchased from the club is prohibited. Guests infringing this condition will be asked to leave the function.

  13. Wines and Sparkling wines for toasts etc. must be supplied by the Club to order.
    A list of wines is available on request. Cove Cricket Club will accommodate specific requests, to the best of our ability.

  14. The Club will ensure that the venue is in a good tidy order suitable for the function.

  15. The Club will do a deep clean of the room but the hirer is expected to do a general tidy.

  16. All deposits are non-refundable within 30 days of the event, unless Covid rules on opening or gatherings prevent the event from taking place.

  17. Guests who are under the age of 18 will not be served alcohol.

  18. The bar team reserve the right to ask for photo identification (passport/drivers licence/PASS) before serving any persons who appear to be under 25. No alcohol will be provided to guests without appropriate identification.

  19. Guests purchasing alcohol and supplying to persons either under the age of 18 or who have not provided appropriate identification may be refused further service at the bar.

  20. The hirer should arrange any 3rd parties to supply proof of liability insurance (eg, bouncy castle hire, disco hire, caterers etc).

  21. Due to our proximity to residential dwellings our licence stipulates that, our patio area will close at 22:30, with access to a smoking area available at the rear of the building.
